What Mezzo is

Mezzo is a communication coach. The chat report describes patterns in a set of text messages and suggests things to try. It is written by an AI system, it can be wrong, and text is a thin signal: the report describes the messages, not the relationship.

In the iPhone app, a session report does the same for a conversation the two of you record together. It is based on an automatic transcript and on measurements of how things were said, and either can be wrong: the wrong words, or a line credited to the wrong person. Mezzo never decides who is right.

Mezzo is not medical, psychological or legal advice and is not a substitute for professional help. It is not for emergencies or for relationships where anyone is afraid or unsafe. Using Mezzo

• You must be 18 or older.
• Only upload a chat you are part of. Tell us honestly whether your partner has agreed.
• Only record a conversation when everyone in it has agreed, and never record anyone else. Recording laws differ by place, and following them where you live is your responsibility.
• Don't use Mezzo to monitor, pressure or build a case against anyone.

Buying in the iPhone app

The app is free to download, and your first recorded conversation is free. Mezzo Plus in the app is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, that includes four recorded conversations a month, the chat history report and progress for both of you. One subscription covers both partners on the same phone. The chat history report can also be bought once on its own.

Purchases in the app are made through your Apple ID and billed by Apple at the price shown in the App Store for your country. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions, or from "Manage subscription" in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

When you use the iPhone app, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies together with these terms.

Liability

Mezzo is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid for it.
